Euclidean Space

Euclidean Space

“Euclidean Space” is a bold, Cubist-inspired gouache that compresses a crowd of angular figures into a prismatic corridor of pure geometry and saturated color. Planes of ochre, vermilion, and forest green slice through the composition like shards of stained glass, fragmenting bodies into interlocking triangles and trapezoids that tilt and overlap in a rhythmic, almost musical tension. Heads crowned in crimson caps emerge from emerald shoulders; elongated limbs in cobalt and amber bend at impossible angles, suggesting both ascent and descent within the same vertiginous shaft. A striped yellow-and-black beam crowns the scene like a distant sun or lighthouse, casting no light but anchoring the chaos in vertical authority. Through its flattened perspective and relentless fracturing, the painting transforms social proximity into a cerebral puzzle—humanity distilled into a vibrant, self-contained universe where space is measured not in distance but in the electric collision of form and hue.
